Are you a hands-on professional with a knack for fixing things? Do you have a background in the manufacturing industry and a skill set that includes maintenance, welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic teamThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing equipment and infrastructure are always in top-notch condition, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivityThis is a full-time, permanent position that requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
3Utilize welding skills to repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
4Work with hydraulic systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
5Carry out electrical repairs and installations in compliance with safety regulations.
6Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
7Document and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work done, including time and materials used.
8Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize maintenance and repair work.
9Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations within the facility, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
10Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting changes that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance processes.
Qualifications:
1Technical or Trade School Degree in a relevant field.
2Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
3Proficient in welding, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
4Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
5Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
6Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
7Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of conditions.
9Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
10Proactive, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring minimal downtime in our operations.
